Colorado, The Centennial State. Home of the Denver Broncos. The weekend getaway destination for so many. A “Foodie’s” paradise. And, of course, don’t forget the beautifully crafted Rocky Mountains.
While in Colorado, be sure to check out these artist:

First stop: Denver. Typical. Once in from your late night flight, Voodoo Doughnuts is the perfect place to satisfy your munchies craving. Just beware, your visit could last 45 minutes (and thats just standing in line). It’s well worth the experience, wait and calories.
Second stop: Fort Collins. A hip, up and coming college town home of the CSU Rams. The drive into this beautiful town is one for the books. Rocky Mountains all along your side.
For the best burger, you HAVE to go to Stuft, a burger bar. Your imagination can finally run wild, and create your very own creation. Want a glazed donut bun? Sure, you got it! Want some Nutella with that bun? You wouldn’t dare. The inner fat kid in me finally made its way out.
This burger features a glazed doughnut bun, medium rare (only way to go) beef patty, grilled peppers, purple onions and spinach, then topped with cream cheese. The perfect sweet and savory combo.
Next up, a night out on the old town square. The square is lit up with twinkling lights from end to end. Perfect scenery for a first date or a girls night out. Grab some drinks in a local brewery or even a hip speakeasy- I recommend Social (pictured above). The steps down work as a time travel machine, and once though the doors, welcome to the roaring 20’s. During the cold season, you’re lucky enough to get complimentary wassail while waiting in line, but it just doesn’t compare to the lavender lemon sour.
Don’t sleep in too late or you will miss The Waffle Lab! Located downtown Ft. Collins The Waffle Lab has it all. Sweet and savory Belgian waffles. The “European” is as classic as it gets. A sweet Belgian waffle loaded with strawberries, bananas, (not enough) Nutella and toped with fresh whipped cream.
To finish off this getaway, take a hike up to the beautiful Horsetooth lake. If you aren’t up for a hike because you are stuffed from Stuft, a drive through the winding roads is just as good. Take minute without any phones and distractions and soak up God’s creation.
Grace & Blessings,
